TikTok Video Editor (Full-Time / Remote)

Role Overview
We are looking for a highly creative and fast-paced TikTok Video Editor to join our content team. In this role, you won’t just chop up video clips—you will be responsible for taking raw footage and turning it into high-engagement, scroll-stopping TikToks, Reels, and Shorts.

The ideal candidate understands TikTok culture, knows what makes a video go viral in the first 3 seconds, and can flawlessly execute trending editing styles (fast cuts, kinetic text, sound design, and visual hooks).

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Editing: Cut, re-sequence, color grade, and mix audio for 3 to 5 short-form videos per day.
Hook Optimization: Craft compelling visual and textual hooks within the first 2–3 seconds of every video to maximize viewer retention.
Trend Execution: Stay native to the TikTok app to identify trending audio, visual effects, memes, and editing styles, implementing them instantly into our content.
Pacing & Engagement: Utilize zoom-ins, sound effects (SFX), B-roll, overlays, and text animations to maintain high energy and viewer engagement throughout the video.
Brand Alignment: Maintain a consistent visual identity, tone, and style across all edited assets while optimizing formats specifically for mobile viewing (9:16 aspect ratio).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Proficiency: Advanced experience with industry-standard editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut Desktop.
Short-Form Expertise: A proven portfolio (portfolio/link required) showcasing short-form video work that achieved high retention or virality.
Graphic & Motion Skills: Ability to add clean, native-looking typography, automated captions, and basic motion graphics.
Audio Savvy: Strong understanding of audio leveling, pacing music transitions, and using sound effects to punctuate comedic or dramatic moments.
Speed & Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-turned environment and pivot styles based on daily algorithm or trend shifts.
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications
Experience with basic scripting or helping creators refine their on-camera delivery.
Basic knowledge of TikTok SEO (how captions, keywords, and hashtags affect discoverability).
Experience running or editing for accounts with over 50k+ followers.
